10 Steps to Make Your Employees Smile

10 Steps to Make Your Employees Smile
I normally use a lot of examples, metaphors, and random pop culture references when I talk about company culture. But sometimes you just have to realize that good rules to live by don’t necessarily need a picture or analogy. Here are the 10 things I always do, without fail, to make employees smile:
  1. Give them a voice. Listen to them. Implement their ideas.  Give them all the credit.
  2. Pay them fairly. To build a great culture, you have to have the basics in place. That means reasonable compensation and benefits. You don’t have to be at the top of the market.  But if you try to create a culture of fun and miss the money part, it will appear disingenuous.
  3. Recognize and reward. Don’t just give them more cash.  People just want to feel valued. Ask them how they want to be recognized; you’ll be surprised at some of the answers.
  4. Offer opportunities for advancement. Most of your employees want to feel there is room to grow. Do they know the path? Have you written it down for them? Show them the way.
  5. Support out-of-the-box semantics. Stop with the fancy titles. All that does is build silos and internal competition.  Our receptionist’s official title is the “director of first impressions” and my assistant is the “director of executive wrangling.”
  6. Infiltrate the workplace with fun. Decorate the place, put up photos, host dress-up days, plan fun events, and bring families to the party.
  7. Walk the talk. You are the leader, so act like it. Don’t expect others to execute on this one. You have to let your hair down, set the example, and join the party. Get out of your office.
  8. Send a handwritten note. And send it home. The way to make a real connection is not through email, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. Put pen to paper, put card in envelope, add a real stamp, and put it in the mailbox.
  9. Create traditions. Buying a keg of beer this Friday night won’t change the culture. It takes commitment and long-term resolve. When you find something that works, keep doing it.
  10. Open your heart. Let everyone know that we are in this together. Be vulnerable. Share your successes and failures. In turn, they’ll fall on a sword for you.
These don’t take long to read and aren’t hard to understand. Print them out, learn them, love them, live them, and your employees will be smiling in no time.

**Military: A beautiful true love story**

One day, a young guy and a young girl fell in love.

But the guy came from a poor family. The girl’s parents weren’t too happy.

So the young man decided not only to court the girl but to court her parents as well. In time, the parents saw that he was a good man and was worthy of their daughter’s hand.

But there was another problem: The man was a soldier. Soon, war broke out and he was being sent overseas for a year. The week before he left, the man knelt on his knee and asked his lady love, “Will you marry me?” She wiped a tear, said yes, and they were engaged. They agreed that when he got back in one year, they would get married.

But tragedy struck. A few days after he left, the girl had a major vehicular accident. It was a head-on collision.

When she woke up in the hospital, she saw her father and mother crying. Immediately, she knew there was something wrong.

She later found out that she suffered brain injury. The part of her brain that controlled her face muscles was damaged. Her once lovely face was now disfigured. She cried as she saw herself in the mirror. “Yesterday, I was beautiful. Today, I’m a monster.” Her body was also covered with so many ugly wounds.

Right there and then, she decided to release her fiancé from their promise. She knew he wouldn’t want her anymore. She would forget about him and never see him again.

For one year, the soldier wrote many letters—but she wouldn’t answer. He phoned her many times but she wouldn’t return her calls.

But after one year, the mother walked into her room and announced, “He’s back from the war.”

The girl shouted, “No! Please don’t tell him about me. Don’t tell him I’m here!”

The mother said, “He’s getting married,” and handed her a wedding invitation.

The girl’s heart sank. She knew she still loved him—but she had to forget him now.

With great sadness, she opened the wedding invitation.

And then she saw her name on it!

Confused, she asked, “What is this?”

That was when the young man entered her room with a bouquet of flowers. He knelt beside her and asked, “Will you marry me?”

The girl covered her face with her hands and said, “I’m ugly!”

The man said, “Without your permission, your mother sent me your photos. When I saw your photos, I realized that nothing has changed. You’re still the person I fell in love. You’re still as beautiful as ever. Because I love you!”

06 signs of a committed relationship..!

Commitment cannot be a single minded decision, with one partner issuing all the rules and conformities, it has to be a mutual agreement of needs and requirements in a future you want to share together, with commitment levels you present to each other open to compromise and discussion. Pre-conceived ideas or fears about commitment is understandable and is essentially preparing you to understanding the difference between promise and commitment. 1. Love and respect – for each other and your individual philosophies on life and love. Ignoring your partner’s hopes and dreams just because they may differ to yours or trying to cancel or absorb someone’s personality is neither love nor respect. 2. Loyalty – to each other and the relationship, promises of exclusive dating –some couples see this as the only commitment needed within a successful relationship, it isn’t a stand alone commitment, but it still remains an ultimate commitment. Any commitments made with the absence of loyalty will appear to be nothing but hollow, broken promises. 3. Honesty – About your feelings, fears and insecurities, honesty about the relationship and your expectations. Revelations about your past, what you want to achieve in life, job prospects and career prospects that could affect your future together. 4. Spending time together – This also encompasses your personal levels of acceptable commitment to each others feelings and needs in the relationship. 5. Being there for each other – supporting each other through different stages of your lives, emotionally and physically, through good times and times of crisis. Emotional, practical and financial support should be a natural evolvement in any relationship and not a hardship to deliver as a commitment, strengthening the relationship with unparalleled protection and support for each other. 6. Trust – Without trust no relationship can survive, do you feel comfortable enough with the level of trust in the relationship, to admit to other relationships and why they failed without any fear of backlash or recriminations. Trusting each other when you are not together is a huge area for differences of opinion as to what is the appropriate level of trust before it becomes suspicious and obsessive jealousy. Trust levels need to be tested and established with practical aspects of the relationship, trust with finances, with children, with secrets, with family decisions and personal choices. So then Do you really know your partner? How well do you know your partner? Almost everyone has a side they never reveal. You can transcend boundaries and know the true inner self of your partner. You’ll be able to know about your partner’s hopes, desires, ambitions, romantic inclinations, relationship skills, sexual needs, childhood, work and career priorities, fears, complexes, apprehensions, values, money priorities, family goals, talents & skills, addictions, beliefs & convictions, self image and a lot else that you would probably never have discovered.

So you want to know how to kiss a girl and have her knees buckle? I will lead you in this article in accelerating your skills as a kisser.

Most men have not taken the time to study the fine art of kissing a woman.

To establish the foundation on how to kiss your girl and really blow her mind with the experience, first use touch to progressively gauge whether your woman is ready to kiss you.

If you can move smoothly and tenderly in stroking her hair, neck, and ears, then she is more than likely ready to kiss you.

Enjoy the sensations that you are masterfully bringing her so that you can take hours to just enjoy each other so that when the kiss happens, the build up and sizzling electricity will be that much more amazing.

After you have created the foundation of physical comfort through touch, create the special moment of the kiss by touching her cheeks gently and guiding her face toward you.

Romanciest Movies To Watch

Best Romantic Movies To Watch
So what romantic movies should you watch that are guaranteed to warm the cockles of your heart and get you and your sweetie in an amorous mood?
Here’s the best dozen romantic movies list:

#12: Sense and Sensibility (1995)
A movie based on a Jane Austen novel, Sense and Sensibility shows us that love is more important than wealth. Emma Thompson allows us through her superb acting just how vulnerable Elinor Dashwood really is behind the strong façade that she shows the rest of the world. Kate Winslet plays Marianne Dashwood, Elinor’s headstrong and willful sister.

#11: Titanic (1997)
What is more heart-tugging than a tale of star-crossed lovers who meet and find love against all odds, only to have their love story end in tragedy? In Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet star as Jack and Rose, two people from opposite ends of the social strata who meet aboard the ill-fated ship and whose affair comes to an abrupt end with the sinking of the ship.

#10: Pretty Woman (1990)
In modern love stories, Prince Charming not just saves Cinderella from her drab existence; Cinderella actually gets to save Prince Charming, too, from himself. This is exactly what happens when wealthy businessman Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) hires a prostitute named Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) to escort him around town for a week in Pretty Woman.

#9: Tootsie (1982)
In Tootsie, Dustin Hoffman’s Michael Dorsey dresses himself as a woman named Dorothy Michaels in order to land a temporary job in a TV soap opera. What was meant to be a temporary job eventually became a total train wreck as Dorothy Michaels becomes extremely popular and Michael falls in love with his co-star, Jessica Lange’s Julie Nichols. Tootsie will make your stomach hurt from laughing and warm your insides, too.

#8: Ghost (1990)
Whoopi Goldberg may have given a stellar performance as a kooky con-artist pretending to be a psychic in Ghost, but none of that compares to that hot scene where Patrick Swayze makes out with Demi Moore while Demi was trying to work with clay on a pottery wheel. Other than that, the movie is about a person loving someone so much that he would do anything to protect his beloved from harm even beyond death.

#7: The Bridges of Madison County (1995)
Clint Eastwood’s Robert Kincaid standing in the rain with tears in his eyes as he watches Meryl Streep’s Francesca Johnson drive away from his life is one of the most heartbreaking and poignant scenes in this movie. It was a story of how a brief affair can change someone’s life and how not all love stories are meant to end in ever after.

#6: The Notebook (2004)
Can love really perform miracles? The Notebook tells us that it is. In this movie, Noah Calhoun (James Garner) tries to bring back the lost memories of his wife Allie (Gena Rowlands) by reading to her their love story that she herself had written. In the end, their love proved to be so strong that nothing, not even death, can drive them apart.

#5: Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Would you meet someone whom you have never met before at the top of the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day? Both Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks) and Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) thought so. But then again, Sam’s son Jonah thought otherwise and Annie just took a shot at the chance that Sam might be there waiting.

#4: An Affair to Remember (1957)
This is the movie that inspired Sleepless in Seattle, except that in this movie, Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant) and Terry McKay (Deborah Kerr) met previously aboard a cruise ship and decided to meet six months later at the top of the Empire State Building. However, Terry does not make it to their date because of an accident, and this leaves Nickie angry and bitter.

#3: When Harry Met Sally (1989)
Can a man and a woman ever be just friends? This is the question that When Harry Met Sally tried to address. Harry believed that a man and a woman cannot become friends because sex always gets in the way. Sally, on the other hand, believed the exact opposite. When they did give friendship a try, Harry and Sally were able to become really good friends. But then again, sex got in the way.

#2: Gone with the Wind (1939)
Who would not fall in love with the willful and headstrong Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh) and the arrogant and masterful Rhett Butler (Clark Gable)? It took years and a number of deaths to make Scarlett realize that it was Rhett whom she loved all along, but by then it was already too late.

#1: Casablanca (1942)
“Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine,” is just one of the memorable quotes in this movie about a love that was not meant to be. Who was Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) supposed to choose – her husband or Rick (Humphrey Bogart)? As this bittersweet movie tells us, it really was not meant to be.

True Meaning of a Kiss

Kiss on the forehead: Were cute together...
Kiss on the cheek: Were friends...
Kiss on the hand: I adore you...
Kiss on the neck: I want you, now...
Kiss on the shoulder: Your perfect...
Kiss on the lips: I love you...
Now make a wish!

Kiss Delicious!
